Run further, injury-free.
Detailed 3D running gait analysis — identify the biomechanical drivers of pain, optimise efficiency, and run injury-free for longer.
Book this service →Why 3D running analysis?
See what 2D video can't.
Standard treadmill video captures motion in two dimensions. 3D analysis records your full kinematic pattern — hip rotation, pelvic drop, foot strike angle, ground contact time and dozens of other variables — across every plane of motion.
It's the level of detail that turns "your form looks off" into "your hip drops 11° at midstance, which is loading your knee — here's what we do about it."
Who benefits?
Runners at every level.
If you're injured, returning from injury, plateauing, or simply curious about your biomechanics — gait analysis gives you the data to train smarter. We've worked with runners for over 15 years and routinely find the one or two corrections that unlock pain-free running again.
What you get
Test, report, plan.
Each session includes the assessment, a detailed report with your kinematic data, a plan of targeted strength and mobility work, and (where relevant) running technique cues to integrate over the following weeks.
In the lab
Precision capture, frame by frame.
High-speed, multi-angle capture lets us measure exactly what happens at every phase of your stride — the detail a coach's eye or a phone camera simply can't see.

Common questions.
What is a 3D running analysis?
A 3D running gait analysis uses high-speed, multi-angle cameras to capture your running biomechanics in detail. At Aevum, we measure stride length, cadence, joint angles, foot strike pattern and asymmetries to identify injury risks and performance limiters.
Who benefits from running analysis?
Anyone who runs — from beginners experiencing pain to competitive athletes chasing PBs. It is particularly valuable for runners with recurring injuries, those returning from injury, or anyone wanting to run more efficiently.
Do I need to bring my running shoes?
Yes — bring the shoes you normally train in. If you are considering new shoes, we can also advise on footwear based on your gait data.
What do I get from the assessment?
You receive a comprehensive report with your biomechanical data, identified issues, targeted exercise prescription, and footwear recommendations. We also schedule a follow-up to track your progress.
We provide 3D running analysis to patients across the Sutherland Shire, including Engadine, Kirrawee and Gymea Bay. Find physiotherapy in your suburb →
